Dmitry Popov is an award-winning Australian bladesmith based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, crafting exceptional kitchen knives since 2011. As a member of the Australian Knife Art Association, Dmitry handles every step of the process himself in his workshop, from forging and heat treatment to handle shaping and final finishing. He's particularly known for his stunning honyaki work using W2 tool steel, achieving mesmerising hamon lines through differential heat treatment that blend traditional Japanese techniques with his own distinctive style.
