Chef’s Edge – Shipping & Delivery Policy

Chef’s Edge ships premium kitchen tools and handcrafted knives across Australia and internationally. Please review the policy below for full details on shipping, customs, processing times, and order conditions.
1. Order Processing Times

Orders are typically packed within 1–3 business days after purchase.

Tracking information will be sent to your email upon dispatch.

During peak periods (e.g. Black Friday, EOFY, Christmas) or global events (e.g. COVID), processing times will be extended to up to 10 business days
2. Delivery Times
Australia Standard 5-7 business days
Australia Express 2 -3 business days
International Standard 6-8 business days
International Express 4-6 business days
Chefs Edge cannot guarantee and is not liable if your parcel arrives outside of these timeframes.

“Heavy Freight” items may take an additional 2–4 business days.

Some parcels may require a signature on delivery.

If you selected "VIP Express Shipping", your order will be packed on the next business day and shipped via express.
3. Couriers by Region
Australia - Australia Post
United Kingdom - Australia Post, UPS or DHL
All Other Countries - Australia International Post or DHL Express
- All available destination countries are shown at checkout. These are subject to change.
- If you are an international customer and your order is sent with AusPost the same tracking number will need to be copied and pasted into your local postal service for the final delivery stages, e.g. USPS, Royal Mail or NZPost

We do not ship to APO/FPO or military addresses.

Ensure you enter your full first and last name on the order to prevent courier delivery issues.
4. Customs, Duties & International Taxes

Duties and taxes are calculated and included at checkout using our global shipping system.

Customers are responsible for understanding any import restrictions specific to their country (e.g. restrictions on certain woods or knife types).

Additional fees outside standard VAT/duties (e.g. inspections, import permits) are the customer’s responsibility.
5. Product Variation Disclaimer
Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, no two knives are identical. Minor differences in:

Wood grain, handle color

Steel finish or forging patterns

Engraving style or packaging
These are expected and celebrated as part of the artisanal character of each product. These are not considered defects.
6. Refunds, Cancellations & Exchanges
Please review all product descriptions carefully before placing your order.

Refunds requested after dispatch are subject to a 2% transaction fee, and postage/shipping cover fees are non-refundable.

As a small business, return shipping costs are not covered for cancellations or exchanges due to change of mind.

7. Shipping Not Available Warning
If you receive this message during checkout:
"Items in the cart do not meet price or weight requirements to qualify for shipping. Update your cart and try again."
It means your order does not meet our minimum spend for shipping eligibility.
8. Over-18 Policy (Knives)
Chef’s Edge strictly complies with laws regarding the sale of bladed products.

You must be 18 years or older to purchase any knife.

We may cancel or refuse orders if age verification cannot be completed.
9. Age Verification on Delivery (Where Required)
To comply with legal requirements, parcels containing knives may require:

ID check upon delivery, such as passport or driver’s license

Signature by a person aged 18 or over

No safe-place drop-offs in jurisdictions requiring age verification
If you are purchasing a knife as a gift, the recipient must also be 18+ and able to show valid ID on delivery.
