Chefs Edge Shipping Cover Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Chef's Edge! We're committed to providing you with not only the best culinary tools but also peace of mind when it comes to delivering these tools to your doorstep. Our shipping cover is designed to ensure that your items are protected from the moment they leave our warehouse until they arrive at your location. Below, you'll find the terms and conditions that govern our shipping cover policy.
1. Authority to Leave (ATL) Waiver: By selecting the 'Authority to Leave' (ATL) option with any carrier, either domestic or international, you agree to waive the shipping cover for theft after delivery. While ATL provides convenience, it does remove the safeguard of our shipping cover once the carrier confirms that the package has been delivered to your specified location.
2. Shipping Cover Scope: Our shipping cover protects against loss or damage to your items during transit. In the unfortunate event that your package is lost by the carrier or arrives damaged, depending on the level of damage Chef's Edge will provide refund or replacement options at their discretion. This coverage is valid from the time of dispatch until the package is delivered to you.
3. Making a Claim: If you need to make a claim for a lost or damaged item, please contact us immediately at orders@chefs-edge.com.au. Include your order number, contact information, and a brief description of the issue. Photographic evidence of damage may be required for processing your claim. All claims must be made within 7 days of the recorded delivery date.
4. Claim Investigation and Resolution: Upon receiving your claim, Chef's Edge will initiate an investigation with the carrier. Please allow us up to 14 days to resolve the claim. Depending on the situation, we may replace the item(s) at no additional cost to you or offer a refund for the item(s) covered under our shipping policy. Please note that the shipping cover cost is non refundable.
5. Exclusions: The shipping cover does not extend to:
- Items left unattended by choosing ATL where theft occurs post-delivery.
- Minor packaging damage that does not affect the functionality or integrity of the item.
- Delays in delivery caused by the carrier or customs hold-ups for international shipments.
6. International Shipments: For international orders, Our shipping cover applies to the item's journey until it reaches your country. Once it is with your local customs office, the responsibility for the item shifts to you, the purchaser.
7. Changes to Terms and Conditions: Chef's Edge reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will not retroactively affect the shipping cover of orders already placed.
8. Contact Information: For any questions or clarifications regarding our shipping cover, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at orders@chefs-edge.com.au. Our team is here to ensure your shopping experience is secure and satisfactory.
Thank you for choosing Chef's Edge. We look forward to serving you and ensuring that your culinary purchases arrive safely and ready to enhance your cooking adventures.

If you asked: "Give me a stone that isn't too soft, isn't too hard, has great feedback, is splash and go, and has its own base but won't cost me an arm and a leg,", we're reaching for the Shapton Kuromaku every time.
Somewhat reminiscent of the Chosera (albeit with a slightly thinner stone), the Kuromaku are a splash and go dream. Softer than the Glass HR, harder than Suehiro Cerax, they represent excellent value.
Grit: #1000 (Use in the early stages of sharpening)
Weight: 668g
Dimensions: 210 x 70 x 15mm
