HADO Sakai are, in our opinion, among Japan's premier knife makers. Everything about their ranges is exquisite. They source the forged blanks from Yoshikazu Tanaka, Satoshi Nakagawa among others, then grind, sharpen, and finish their knives in-house. We've had the pleasure of visiting them multiple times and are such a vibrant, young, and committed team. Their packaging has been custom designed in collaboration with French artist Phillipe Weisbecker, of which this packaging houses one of the finest blades we have ever seen.

Fantastic cutter

Put her through the paces today with some pretty heavy cutting including acorn squash, a large beat, a large purple onion, carrots and a few other vegetables. The HADO did extremely well especially with such a thin edge. Also super fast delivery and a fantastic staff!!

An utterly amazing knife!

I own 5 or so higher end Japanese knives (not counting Shuns), and this is the nicest I've ever used. Incredibly sharp and easy to use, fits the hand well. My only criticism is that foods tend to stick to the knife a bit more than average. Highly, highly recommended.
