Gestura Utensils
Gestura Stando Tweezer - Gold
$46.00 USD
Unit price / perThe Stando project is a result of my interest in updating the ubiquitous kitchen tongs — which often tears or breaks food and feels like cooking with two clumsy thumbs. We calibrated Stando to feel like a delicate extension of one’s fingers.
We ditched the bland and clinical look of tongs, and replaced it with a soft streamlined shape.
The namesake feature, a curved stand in the middle of the tool provides a wide surface area for finger placement and grip. The stand also keeps the tips elevated off the ground while not in use.
The curve has been strategically placed to lean on vessels like 1/9 pans, pint containers, bowls, pan handles - anything with a lip or corner, really.
If you think of tweezers as solely reserved for micro greens and delicate plating, I encourage you to give Stando a try as an every day tool.
Each piece is stamped, etched, and finished by hand at Mr. Ando’s workshop.
Form-
Stando combines the long tapered profile of Japanese cooking chopsticks with the tension and precision of plating tweezers. It is comfortable everywhere from turning small veg in a small pan, to handling noodles and grilling.
Origin-
Niigata, Japan
Material-
18/8 Japanese stainless steel

10 inches

Hand-wash only, please.

Some of our reviews
This thing IS THE BUSINESS!
Words can't explain how amazing this knife is to use and gaze at! It's my second bunka and my go to knife for everyday prep. Gyuto's aren't getting a look in at the moment. I LOVE it. Thanks Chefs Edge 👊🏽

Super Thin Bevels
The bevels being so thin makes it easy to achieve a crazy sharp edge and cut dense vegetables rather than splitting them. The kiritsuke tip also makes precise cuts such as on garlic possible. A pleasure to use

Great product, great service
Very happy with my purchase. First time customer, ordered and received a knife that had a chip which occurred during shipment. The staff at Chefs Edge were very prompt in communication and really helpful in resolving the matter. They sent out a new knife and arrived in time for a birthday. The knife itself is great quality and looks better than the photos. Overall, very happy and will be a return customer!

Beautiful Knife
As the title says, an absolutely beautiful knife. Even better than the photos. Shipping was also reasonable. Very happy, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic knife with beautifully curated handle
Got this as a gift for one of my younger cooks who has been going above and beyond this year. Not only is the caretaking aspect of high carbon steels such as shirogami a great teacher for any future knives they may own, but its such a beautiful tsuchime finish with a fantastic grind that I found myself drooling over it aswell. 10/10 recommend not only Tsunehisa as a maker but Chefs Edge as a curator and purveyor of immaculate kitchen knives.

Best bread knife ever !
it was best decision for me to purchase this knife! Smooth and effortless prep! Especially working with 300-500 portion !

Perfect knife!
It was absolutely razor sharp knife. Lightweight even if it’s 240mm knife. Thanks chef’s edge, it came also fast and secured with a beautiful delivery box.
